Refund Policy

Darshan Sah College is a Constituent Unit of Purnea University, Purnea imparting education till Honors level in Arts, Science and Commerce. A multi-faculty co-ed institution, the College, till date maintains a distinguish place in the University. Situated on the South-West end of Samastipur on the main road leading to Patna, the college has a very refined walled campus comprising of about 6 acres of land. Based on the outskirts of Samastpur town the college enjoys the natural open environment coupled with the Urban facility. Its strategic location attracts students from both the Urban and Rural surroundings. It is registered under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act and is receiving grants from the University Grants Commission under various schemes and was Accredited by NAAC. Today the college has a well defined Science Block with latest Lab facility full of requisite equipment; a well stacked Library with about 50,000 Books and Journals with separate Reading Section for students and teachers; Common Room for Boys and Girls and a huge Cycle Stand within its campus.

On its inception the college functioned at Jitwarpur. Later on it was shifted to its present location. Here it is situated at the meeting point of rural and urban areas.

The one provides it with natural surroundings and the other with the amenities available in towns and cities. A beautiful pond in the middle of the college campus adds to its attraction.

The aim of the college is to educate and uplift the backward and down-trodden and to instill a feeling of security among them.

Best Practices


1. Green and clean Campus:

The students and faculty encouraged by the NSS unit to keep the campus green by planting more trees and making the campus Plastic free Zone. The College organises periodical NSS camp to inculcate the values of plantation among the students and the faculty.

2. Rain water harvesting & use of renewable Energy:

The College campus has a beautiful pond which serves the purpose of rainwater harvesting. Also, solar energy used for free wi-fi in the college campus. For this purpose, solar energy panels are installed.
